Temporary residency is granted for a set period and its extension must be requested within the 90 days before it expires. Under the Mercosur system, temporary residency can be renewed only once. We remind you in advance and prepare the documents.

To renew your ID card you need the migration certificate, which is requested online while in Uruguay and up to six months before expiry. If your residency is in process and you travel, you need a re-entry permit for each departure.
